The primary objective of this design was to create a “forever home” for the owners—one that blends with the natural forested environment of the Montreux community while providing a family atmosphere that is welcoming to the owners’ adult children and allows for festive entertainment. Outside, the design preserves a large pine tree in the middle of the double lot—requiring a 30-foot bridge structure that connects the home’s north and south wings and a water feature that flows around the tree and under the bridge. A glass entry provides a view through the home out to the natural environment and signature tree.
